Prescott to Cottonwood, AZ

Great weather......for Midwesterners. Pulled out of the parking lot this morning at 42 degrees. Really nice climb to Mingus Summit (7,000'). Then rode down to Jerome, an old cooper mining town, for lunch at Haunted Hamburgers. Beautiful views. The total descent today was almost 5,000', so Linda's hands are sore from braking. Lots of switchbacks and changing winds on the way down. Our computers beep really loud when you approach a sharp turn significantly above the suggested speed limit. Another rider and I decided there are definitely times each day when the computer is the smartest thing on the bike.
The roads the last 2 days are big with the motorcycles, given all the turns and change in elevation. Kawasaki had a film crew out following a bunch of riders. We just hope that all the riders are as good as they think they are.
Rolled into Cottonwood around 1:30 and enjoyed the hot tub and pool for quite a while the temps rose to ~80. Got to see the second half of the Bucks win.
