Sanderson to Seminole SP
Brutal day. Sometimes that happens.
20 to 25 mph headwinds for 81 miles
It kicked our butts.
Didn't get to the State Park until 4.
Almost 7 hours in the saddle. Too much.
Less than half of our riders completed the ride. Linda was the 3rd woman in camp. Bill would have been one of the first guys but he waited for me many times.
I have never seen people pedal so hard down a 3% grade to get to 10 mph.
We will see how much fuel is in tank tomorrow AM for our next ride.
We are camping on a high point for the area. The tents are rocking now. Could be a noisy night.
It is now 7:30....good night.
Sending you all the energy I can spare - hope you get tailwinds soon!!
ReplyDeleteThanks! Hoping tomorrow.
