Tallahassee to Live Oak

77+ miles with ~10 mph headwinds.
Great roads. Enough hills to keep Linda happy.

The doc from UNC cracked the top tube of his carbon fiber bike during a dismount. Being a doc and having splinted fractures many times, he got 2 metal tubes from an ACE hardware store, epoxyed them on the broken top tube and gorilla taped it. Rode in ~40 miles and will ride it again tomorrow.
We really enjoy riding through northern FL. Days have started cool. The small towns have character, with nice older homes, downtowns, and courthouses in their main square.

Stopped by the birthplace of Ray Charles. Very nice statue.

Staying at the Suwanee Co fairgrounds tonight. There's a roping contest --- the first entertainment we've had the past 6 weeks --- so we're all here.

We lose our caterer tomorrow after breakfast. She will be missed. Wonderful meals from a very kind heart.
