High Springs to Palatka

One heck of a great 80 mile ride.
A touch of wind to keep us cool, great roads. The miles just flew by.
We got on the drops for miles 40 to 50 and knocked them out in 30 minutes. We have never spent so much time on the drops as this trip. The wind made us better at riding in that position for longer periods of time.
Last night was our last night in tents. We have both soured a bit on going on long camping trips moving forward.

Got to ride 14 miles on a nice bike path. So quiet and remarkably smooth.

Pat and Lori are strong riders from CA. Pat always shares his opinion on everything (which Linda and I have grown to enjoy) so tonight he was named the trip's quality assurance guy.
Most of today was rural. Starting to get a little more urban as we get closer to the Atlantic.
A group of us finished much earlier than hotel check in so we rode over to a local brewery and laughed for 2 hours.
This was my first beer in 53 days. Still like them.

Tomorrow we roll 35 miles into St Augustine beach. Dip our front wheel in the Atlantic and call it good. It will be nice to get home and see everyone. A bit melancholy to know I may never see some of these folks again.

For the 1 or 2 of you waiting for a butt update, I had no issues this trip. Used 2 seats (fizek and selle italia), 6 shorts from 4 manufacturers (different chamois, seams, etc). That with the shorter average milage per day (65) did the trick.
